Pedestrian streets are one of the things I enjoy seeing here in China, and I've seen several. I'd say this one is average. The shops lining the street have a variety of items ranging from housewares to clothes. There are also some restaurants. Around noon, local vendors, particularly fruit and vegetable vendors, start setting up outside. It seems to be the most active in the early evening.

I was on my way to Vladivostok and wanted to cross the border by bus. Unfortunately the saleslady at the ticket office refuse to sell me a bus ticket because according to her, I did not have a visa in my passport. But as a South African, we do not need any visas to enter Russia. She was very rude and even threw my passport to the other side of the counter and refused to listen to me. When a Chinese woman tried to explain to her my situation, she told her that I should speak Chinese or Russian, and not any English to her. So I went on a tour of the town, but it was too cold to do anything and really not much to see
