We stayed in Santa Marta. Taganga seemed way too noisy - many restaurants and bars with loud music. Arr Sunday by taxi COP 10,000 from Santa Marta; there are also buses (cheaper). Got there around 1100 and found a shade shelter with chairs right in fromt of Taganga Beach Hotel COP 20,000 for 2/whole day. Excellent jazz combo behind us... More

An easy 10 minute bus ride from Santa Marta, this is good for a couple of hours of relaxation, especially after the main beach in Santa Marta. There are also boats that take people further around the bays. There are also plenty of restuarants and outlets offering food and refreshments to quench one thirst.

Just many, many boats and people trying to sell you waaaay overpriced rides to the different beaches where you can just go by bus. Not... More

Just 20 minutes by bus from Santa Marta. Calle Ferrocarril and Calle 17 is where you can pick up the bus. They run all the time. It will say "Taganga" on the front of the bus (1400 Colombian pesos.). The bus will leave you off on the main road that runs through Taganga. Just get off the bus and walk... More
