This wasn't our favourite beach (nothing beats Barril in the area) but was a close second. Loved the ferry(!) across and the stunning waves but as there's only one restaurant it's over-priced so I'd definitely recommend taking a picnic

Lovely beach. Plenty of sun loungers which cost €15 for the day or you can pay less for half day after 3pm.
Not much choice for water sports.
Toilets were disgusting. No toilet paper, no soap or hand towels. Water (hopefully) all over the floor...More
A beautiful family holiday. A small, sleepy fishing town. Seafood a plenty (the fish/fruit & veg market opens about 9am-12). All the restaurants serve excellent seafood, a must when visiting the Algarve. The local dish is cataplana (try restaurant Europa for the best in town)....More

We stayed at the Cabanas Park Resort where the Activities Instructor took kayakers out on the sea as part of the 'in-house 'activities'. However we did see kayaks for hire along the harbour side in the town, near the Spar supermarket, close to where you could catch the ferry to the beach, but didn't take
note of the cost. We were there in Sept/Oct 2017.
