A fantastic little place with lots of good skiing for the whole family. We stayed in an apartment called Sportstugan which is new for this season and 15 meters from the slopes. The apartments are great, the skiing is great and we have very little else to wish for. All the kids agree that this place is 5 out of... More

Very nice place to have fun. With children or without. Nice mountains and pists. Everything is perfect as a lot of things in Sweden.

Vemdalsskalet is mostly known as a winter skiing area, but during summer there are great opportunities for hiking. A 25 km loop starts and ends in Storhogna and passes mountain lakes, water falls, plains, many rivulets, bogs (on boardwalks), several resting huts, abandoned settlements of 1-2 huts, pastures, and through mountain birch forests. There are great views, opportunities for swimming... More

Excelent place for learning! Take your friends or family and book a house near the mountain and enjoy! I spended every minute i could on the mountain. They have so nice and cozy cafe's on the top of the mountains, where you can take off your skyboots and enjoy some cocoa at the fireplace. Really miss this place and will... More

Big enough for the average skiers a few days.Blending state of the art chairlifts with antique from Doffelmayers early days. Vemdalen is snow-secure but also offers fresh cold winds.Vemdalen have added some energy to build in an inviting style. Most are in place for a few days of skiing

First time here and as a a family we really enjoyed it. Slopes were in good condition, it wasn't too busy. Restaurant was decent value. Lift passes are great value.

I have been several times to Vemdalsskalet, and each year we go there is more upgrades to the resort, it does appear who ever is managing the resort has big plans. This year it was a new 6 person chair lift with cover, and also a new restaurant / ski hire complex. It is not the alps, so don't expect... More

As usually in Skandinavia the location is not the best thing here, but IT's got 3 fast chairs during the last 5 years, so if you've planned to visit GO for it! In my opinion here is one of the best beginner/children lift I've ever seen - 6-back chair with automatic safety bar etc. Great slopes on both sides of... More

A good and complete ski resort although the best descent missing. Good variety of entertainment, ski trails, ski slopes, restaurants and other service establishments. Vemdalskalet is very snow-secure and the season starts early.
