Beautiful viewpoint with stunning views in this gorgeous national park. There are multiple trails you can take in this national park. We took a very pleasant 3.5km circular trail around the caldera. We enjoyed the pine forest and the gorgeous views and scenery. We did have to book in advance on the official website. Recommended.

Part of a self organized day trip, but didn't spend enough on the arrangements to sort out the car park.
You no book & pay in advance, you no enter.
Opps, my fault, but the area up to the check point is beautiful scenery, so all we can do is imagine the rest is better.

Access to this place is only via online reservation we'll in advance or on spot, but with the risk of having to wait for a suitable time slot as parking space is very limited - for a very good reason. Hiking at this place is a unique experience... Breathtaking views into the Caldera and absolute silence so you hear fellow hikers 100s of meters away before seeing them.

What a beautiful, peaceful place!
If you did not make a reservation for a parking spot (it is a good 7kms away and up from the visitor center near El Paso), you still can visit with your car, provided you park before 8am or after 4pm.
The walk to the mirador is lovely through Canarian pines, very wide and easy. There are other more difficult hikes on narrower paths. The guard at the booth on the parking lot can give you more information about them.
The views and the smell of the pine trees are amazing and something to remember for a long time.

If you want to visit by car you need a (free) permit. There are only 32 parking spaces at the viewpoint thus the need for control. The permit can be obtained from the visitor centre normally for 1 or more days in advance and would appear to be valid for a couple of hours which is enough for most people to take the easy walk to another viewpoint and back. The views are wonderful and although both coaches and taxis bring visitors the place does not get crowded. There are no facilities at all at the top.

The lower side of the Taburiente Caldera. Easy to drive to. Book a parking slot at on National Parks website and print out 2 copies (you need to give one to the guard at the gate and put one on your windscreen). You book a 30 min arrival spot and can choose a departure time. If you don't sort it at home just book at the Caldera Visitor Centre at El Paso. They have a computer and printer. At the top you can choose easy or longer walks.

It is a short walk of about 1 h but what An experience. First you need to make a reservation in the visitor-centre in El Paso to be able to have a parkingspace because the walk starts 7 km from the centre. There is a guard so you really need the Paper. The walk is incredible and not very difficult. The views and the smell of the trees is something to remember for a long time. When you drive back, make a little trip to Voegen del Pino : a very quiet chapel with a large pinetree next to it .

The Cumbrecita is a beautiful place to go up to for the views and a hike if you're so inclined. I didn't have a lot of time during my visit but the one-hour walk I did was peaceful with amazing views of the opposing mountain range and the valley below. As others have noted, you do need to reserve a parking spot the day before (or maybe online??) as the lot is very small and can't hold many cars. Even when I was leaving it was a tight squeeze getting between some of the cars.

Book a parking space the previous day if possible as only a few cars are allowed all the way up. This was our first walk on the island and we managed it in a lot less time than the books said - however that did not detract from the beauty of the walk and the views from the various Mirador points.

We went early in the morning. Had a car park reservation for 2,5 hours (made at visitor centre).
We enjoyed a peaceful and quiet walk. It was a bright and sunny morning. The walk is suitable for people carrying a child in a baby carrier. I would definitely recommend a visit
