The Parthasarathy temple is just 5 mins by auto from Guruvayur temple. This is an old temple where the sanctum sanctorum area is the main body of the chariot and there are horses on both sides. Beautiful idol. There is no queue in this temple.
As you enter through the door you are greeted by horses on both sides of the threshold to the sanctum. It's after having darshan and circumambulating does the sanctum fully reveal itself to be designed like a chariot.
