I've seen terrible torture of elephants. I never expected to see this in India. It was really terrible! I was not prepared for that. All elephants were chained. There was a lot of yelling at the elephants too. I think my travelagency should have warned me about that. Nature was very very breath taking beautiful!

We have reached the temple for evening darshan. We could get into the senior citizen queue as our parents were there with us. So it took only 15 mins to have a perfect darshan of Guruvayurappan..!

We visited the Guruvayur Temple in January 2016 & had the most amazing Darshan at 4.00am. A visit to Mammiyur Temple & Triprayar temple is must while visiting Guruvayur.

It a nice temple, if you are in Guruvayur is nice to go, but only hindu people can enter. More than the temple it is very interesting to see the people and their tradicions. You can see people everyday at everytime, they always have something to be greatfull!

This is an ancient and iconic temple that I fond memories of visiting growing up. However, they also use captive elephants as a major crowd puller. They do not take good care of these elephants. It is very obvious that they are distressed and have deep injuries due to spikes and chains around their legs. They also have very little... More
