Small harbour with great views
Aug 2021 • Business
This is one of the smallest harbours I’ve seen. What it lacks in size it makes up for in views! I was blessed to be here on a sunny day and there were amazing views over the Forth to Edinburgh and of the bay. Lovely to park here, wander and soak up the sun.

Kinghorn, a pleasant surprise on the Fife Coastal Path
Jan 2020
It was a raw, grey day with a chill wind but, even then, you could appreciate Kinghorn Harbour which lies on the Fife Coastal Path.
Parking is at the top of the cliff, and there are ample spaces, or near the station which is yards from the harbour and beach.
The path down is well signposted. Nothing was open as this was mid-January, and there is a cosy feel as you walk down the steps towards the bay.
A yacht club is at one point and a caravan park lies just over the crest of a cliff.
The town centre is not far away either and one could imagine that this little spot on the Fife coast could become a tad busy on a sunny day in July with blue skies.

This was a return visit for my wife who regularly visited as a child. It has a good beach and a pleasant looking harbour. The whole area is very clean and well worth a visit

Relaxing haven

Kinghorn Harbour is a lovely little harbour. Quiet and good for dogs and children too. There is a small cafe and a lifeboat base and plenty of rock pools. You can see Edinburgh on a clear day and it even gets dolphins.

King of the shores

As a Fife coastal walker a visit to Kinghorn is always a must and the harbour is granted to keep you coming back. Views across to Edinburgh are breathtaking and a great stop of in the summer. Be sure to visit the wee shop to pick up snacks, fish and chips or grab an ice cream. Granted to have me back soon.

Hail to the king.

Our first visit
May 2018 • Couples
Visited Kinghorn Harbour, and the surrounding area with my wife last Saturday.
We actually parked up in the free car park next to Pettycur Harbour, a short distance away, and walked from there.
We have passed through Kinghorn on countless occasions, but this was the first time that we took time out to explore the town in more detail.
The harbour itself is very small, but the immediate surrounding area including the adjacent beach does offer scenic views, and of course the views out across the Forth to Edinburgh and beyond too.
The weather can really play a significant role in a location like this, and with it being a lovely day when we visited, the place was thriving.
