Great treatments, great prices!Had a shellac pedicure and the Lotus spa package here during my 2 night stay on the island and both treatments were sensational. Around 4 hours of treatments in total and the value for money was outstanding. The staff are so lovely too. I visit a lot of day spas and I can say the pedicure was the best I’ve ever had. Tika was so thorough - my nails have never looked so perfect. The massage and facial were also brilliant - I almost fell asleep! Myself and my daughter and friends all went to Ulian Spa multiple times for different treatments... massage, foot massage, facial. What a lovely place for a pamper. From the time you arrive and are treated to a foot bath and cool drink in the lovely garden, then inside where it's so quiet and peaceful. The girls make a special effort to keep things quiet. Making the appointment was extremely easy via WhatsApp. The space inside is really peaceful and quiet regardless of being next to the beach and restaurants. The prices are very inexpensive and they have a large variety of massages/treatments. I would highly recommend it to anyone on the island.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 21, 2024

There is a sign outside Ulian spa that says "Silence inside" and coupled with the warm foot wash under a beautiful pandanas and the very charming receptionist we were expecting a pleasant experience once inside. However the therapists didn't follow their own rules and chatted in a highly audible "whisper" for almost the whole 30 minutes of our Rp 100,000 each foot and leg treatment. There is something to be said about the therapist being "present" when giving any massage - you can feel the difference, and out foot and leg was average at best. Now I know we weren't face down in a separate room getting the Rp 180,000 Balinese massage but if that was the standard I would get up and walk out.

Went for a 30 minute neck and head massage and a pedicure.
The pedicure was excellent - thanks to Rasta for her attention to detail and best ever pedicure. Normally a pedicure would chip and come off in pool but this hasn’t .. great job!

Had a fabulous Balinese style massage and a great pedicure. Both services were delivered by professionals in a spotless, lovely spa. We were welcomed with a cool drink, cold towel and pleasant foot wash. Best place I’ve tried in South East Asia so far.

This spa is well run - clean and professional staff. When we arrived we were served with a refreshing cool mint towel and flavoured water. We were the treated to a foot wash. The coconut body scrub was relaxing - the light pedicure was thorough.

I just went to this spa with my boyfriend. We had a booking and still had to wait 20min even if there were nobody in the spa. After they told us to go in the room (tiny and dark but wt) and to get prepared. It’s only after a few minutes that the women came back and ask for what we want (???). I live on lembongan and I’ve test a lot of spa with always strong pressure (btw they never asked). The women was just abrupt and violent. She was doing the massage with one hand, seated, and talking to her friend during 1 hour. She was hurting me, doing sudden gestures and she was blowing all the time. I never been this disappointed about a massage for 5 months in Asia....

Had a full body massage and can totally recommend it. You also get a glass of water, cold towel and tea. Of course it is not a 5*spa in a classy hotel but the quality of massage is comparable and that is the main point. If you can do without the chi-chi of a 5* spa you get a great value for money. Thanks again!

Ulian spa was very disappointing. We really wanted this to be a good experience because the spa was so close to our accommodation and we would have got daily treatments. But once we had arrived for our massage we were shown into a small curtained cubicle, the massage table was old and the upholstery on the headrest was broken and fraying so badly that it tickled my nose, but fortunately I was able to reposition my face towel so that the broken part was covered and so that it was not too irritating. The next thing I noticed was that they didn’t make any effort to clean my feet which was unusual because they usually at the very least wipe your feet with a damp cloth I commented to my therapist that maybe my feet weren’t clean and she said they "looked clean" to her. Then she started on my back with a very repetitive and uncomfortable technique. Several times I was almost going to tell her to change the position, but she eventually did so. I have had a lot of experience with massage of varying degrees of quality, and styles. My experience tells me that this therapist was never properly trained, and had probably had only "watched" two or three massages before starting to treat customers. The rest of the massage was unprofessional and inconsistent, she massaged over bones, and forced strokes across my kneecaps, So much so that I was starting to worry about her injuring my knees. She massaged my face without washing her hands after massaging my feet, and in the end, she made no effort to wipe the oil off or clean me at all after the massage. She skipped a few areas like my belly which is usually part of the Bali body massage and she only did about half of each foot and half of each hand. There was also no sitting-up back massage at the end, which is normally included. What a shame she didn’t have some more training otherwise it could’ve been so much better. I was thinking (during the massage) that I should donate a book on basic anatomy, with some diagrams of the muscles and bones. Some books on anatomy and massage might help if they are motivated enough to improve (and learn the basics of their trade). There are other SPA choices on the island, so I do not think we will ever go back to this one, not at least until we had tried every other spa on the island first.
My wife got a 1hour hair wash cream-bath treatment, but the products used did not seem that great, she said it took almost the entire hour to comb out the snarls using a really hard bristle brush. Not a pleasant or relaxing experience at all. Quite the opposite. Also, the front sliding door is super noisy and bangs loudly when anyone opens it.
I really wish that the SPA managers read this review, and takes steps to improve their level of training and service, and then this SPA could be so much better.

Visited this spa and selected the Island Package which included a fantastic Balinese hour's massage, a choice of body scrub, a flower bath and moisturiser. The whole experience was calming from the beginning. I was welcomed with an ice water and cool towel and a foot bath. There was a silence sign so there were no distractions! My therapist was fantastic. Clear, calming and very firm in my massage. I chose the coconut scrub which was so good. I felt pampered from start to finish. At the end I was directed to a bath filled with petals to clean off and then I was given a lovely ginger tea to refresh after. Perfect way to spend an afternoon!
