Nice tour, but only in Czech
Aug 2019 • Family
We like to visit places of natural beauty and wonder, and this was a nice place to visit.
You can buy tickets from the gate. You cannot go there by yourself but need to go with the group. The last tour apparently leaves 45 min before they close, since the tour lasts about 40 minutes.

The route inside the cave is easy to walk, the music was a wonderfull surprise.

However I cannot gove more than 3 stars for the following reasons:

- I found it hard to find information about the caves. I received a map from the information center in Skalní mlyn, but I would have needed to see the map before hand to plan our trip since I have no idea how far the caves are in relation to each other. Maybe they have this somewhere in the internet but I did not find it se I attach the map to here if you should need it

- We would have wanted to go on a tour to Punkva caves, but they were sold out. I should have bought the tickets beforehand, I understand that. But really, via phone or email?! No online tickets - minus points from me.
However Catharinas cave you can buy tickets from the gate without pre-order.

- They didi not seem to believe I don’t speak Czech at the ticket office, and also the tour was completely in Czech. I would have appreciated few words in English also, if only the main points. We received a small informationpaper and that was in english but you cannot read it in the dark cave.

However: if you are in the area, this is a nice place to visit!

lesser of the two caves but still interesting

we could not get into the main cave so went into this one. Tour is in Czech only, no photos allowed so gets an average rating. About 30-40 min easy walking tour. They had some classical music playing in the main chamber to demonstrate the acoustics which were amazing. Book in advance to get the main cave tour. There is a small museum located close by illustrating the geographical history of the region (small fee).

Disgusting service
Jul 2018
We paid for for extrusion regular price, 5 people , and insight the guide said that she not going to conduct the excursion an English, the worlds that we heard “don’t thought anything”.
It was 30 minuets of cold and boring.
I tried to ask how it’s happens that no one warned us about it. in response to me rudely cried and drove off, saying that they were not going to talk to me or return money.
Disgusting service in the worst traditions of the Soviet Union

Big and beautiful cave
Aug 2017 • Friends
Huge cave with amazing acoustics. Concerts are sometimes held inside (which we didn't get to do but if you're planning a visit it'd be worth investigating). Short 2 KM walk from car park. Very cold inside the cave so bring a jumper. Wear shoes with good traction as surface is very damp and a little slick. Cave tours are in Czech but they give out an English brochure you can read at each stop.

Beautiful

It was our first cave to visit before going on the Punkva caves tour. The view was magnificent! But the guide didn't talk in English... It wasn't a tragedy because the view was so amazing, we didn't even need words :)))

It is a small cave, not impressive.
Most visitors came for the punkva caves and didn't get a ticket....

A nice cave close to Skalni Mlyn. A tour about 45 minutes. Parking at Skalni Mlyn (300 m) or by bus from Blansko. A tour through the cave was very nice. The best is an acoustic test in a big dome, music and light show is beautiful. You will see a witch - symbol of the cave and Bambus Wood and a lot of fantasy sculptures. Really worth to see. Kids under 6 don´t pay admission fee.

Wonderful dripstones
Jul 2016 • Friends
Amazing trip, Katerinska cave is the shortest tour among the caves in Moravian Karst, but it was worth it. There is a huge dome with great acoustics and you can try. :-) The dripstones in shapes of bamboo grove or the witch are very realistic. This is something you have to see!

Nice and unique but unprofessional tour
Apr 2016 • Couples
The cave is really beautiful but visit is possible on a 40 minute long guided tour only.
The tour guide took us through the cave speaking only in Czech (we didn't understand one single word), we had to pay extra for taking photos, which normally wouldn't bother me but when we stopped to take pictures, she simply went on and switched the lights off in the place where we were. Unbelievably unfriendly and unprofessional behavior.
