Place du Chatelain is a nice area surrounded by a variety of shops and bars/restaurants for all tastes. Every wednesday a local market takes place in the main square starting at 2 pm with good products and prices. Absolutely worth visiting.
Le Chatelain is now THE place for you if you belong to the so called BOBO community (bourgeois-bohème) or if you just aspire to belong to.

Found the market by accident as it was just down the road from our hotel. I think it is only there on a Wednesday so we were sort of lucky, unfortunately it was raining really hard so we didn't spend too much time walking round....More
The Place du Chatelain itself has nothing great: small, not great architecture.
BUT the neighbourhood is very interesting: many and diverse restaurant, trendy shops.

Wednesday afternoon and early evening are market time at Place du Chatelain. The most fantastic cheese, fresh meat, cooked meat, baked goods, fresh vegetables and fruit, and fresh fish. And at this time of year mulled wine ..... and more. I love it.
