Absolutely incredible views, particularly at sunset. It gets very very busy though so I would suggest getting there early to ensure you get a park.
Please be careful though - although the rock is flat it has a naturally uneven surface, and the sheer cliff face does not have any barrier. Please supervise your children (there was alot of unsupervised kids running around too close to the cliff for comfort)

What a find (goggle 20 best lookouts in the Blue Mountains). We drove to the parking area then walked about 100 metres to the lookout - it is breath taking. There are not barriers so if you have children hold on to them. Sunset is an amazing time to visit and the photos opportunities are wonderful. Quite a few people at this time but so worth it and everyone took their photos and moved on. We waited until almost dusk and had the place to ourselves.

This lookout should be better advertised as it’s view is fantastic.
We turned up to see it at sunset but I’m sure the vista would be good at anytime.
The platform is uneven & there is no barrier so you need to watch your step.
On our 30 minute visit there would have been no more than 25 people at any one time which is another good reason to visit this lookout compared to the other more popular lookouts.

I’ve visited the Blue Mountains regularly since I was a child, but I never knew about this place.
I discovered it after Googling the best lookouts. It’s found at the end of a bumpy dirt road. You can park and walk up if your car isn’t built for off-road.
There were lots of people on top of the flat rock. If you walk to the end and to the right you find a bunker cave. But a little further up is a natural cave.
You can get incredible photos of you are brave enough to climb the vertical rock face to get inside.

Rock view was spectacular even if no rails terrified me. The line to get a photo was hilarious. Too many mini buses so they were driving in the middle of the road and trying to park in normal spots. There are no toilets. Boo to the people that think it’s ok to go in the bushes and leave loo paper everywhere, including poo paper - gross!

This seemed a place that got far fewer visitors than nearby Three Sister’s site but the views were just as great. Even on a cloudy winter’s day, it was a good stop to visit. I would definitely recommend

First time I went here the area was closed due a car park being built..
Had another try and it was open and amazing. Windy day, so we had to be careful.but what a view... there was a hawk or kestrel right at eye level just floating on the wind - keeping an eye out for its dinner.
I’d be careful with children as there is no barrier and the drop is immense.. worth the trip and a short easy walk to the rocky lookout

Ample parking. We visited at midday when it was quite hot but there was hardly anyone there. Great photo opportunities and there is also a small path - that isnt plainly visible to the eye - to the left of the rock (easy to navigate, maybe 20m long) that winds down where you can find a CAVE. Could have stayed here for quite a while if it were for the heat
Keep an eye on children though as there are no guard rails but this is definitely a place you can take children regardless.

This lookout is easily accessed by people travelling from Sydney by car.
You take the Great Western Highway and drive through Bullaburra and up Bodington Hill.
At the top of the hill is the pot shop and on the left is Tablesland Rd.
Turn left and follow for 1.5 km. Then Horden Rd will appear on the right.
Follow Hordern Rd until the T-intersection with Little Switzerland Rd and turn left.
About 500 metres up the road you will find Lincoln's Rock.
When you get there, a blue sign saying " Lincoln's Rock " appears and as you walk towards the cliff edge you will see a totem pole with info on it.
Apart from these there are no other signs, and you can look to the south over hundreds of hectares of unspoiled national park.
Enjoy.

We went here on a mixed weather day. It was warm, but a thunderstorm released rain all of a sudden which made the roads evaporate clouds of steam.
When we arrived there were luckily just a few people there, and the rain on the rocks had already dried up.
We walked over the amazing but very uneven rock formations as close as we dared to go towards the edge (staying 3 meters away of it), but photographed 2 girls who were sitting on the shallow cliff edge with their legs dangling over. Rather them than us.
Just after we had taken our fairly safe photographs, a busload of Asian touurists arrived, many of them quite brash and obviously oblivious to the dangers, based on their idiotic behaviour at the edge. Especially with unpredictable winds.
Risking your life for a selfie ? Not us.
Later on, we read several newspaper articles about people who had recently fallen to their death there, or came out with very serious injuries.
And about the local council who want to push more tourism there.
Not a good idea, councillors and local developers !

Hello, we are attending our son's weeding at Lincoln's Rock in early May. We are from Queensland and have never been to the Blue Mountains before. I am just trying to gauge what the weather will be like.
