The Gorges du Verdon are one of the most beautiful gorges in Europe. Some of the views are breathtaking and if you are not afraid of height it’s a fantastic trip. If you are staying over in the area take the time to drive both sides. During the afternoon from Moustier Ste Marie take the keft bank (Rive gauche) The... More

Great place to spend a couple of active hours with the family. We came from Cannes which is about 1.5h from Gorges du Verdon. We arrived around noon and did not have to wait too long for our paddleboat. It was our second time here so we had packed a good lunchbox so we took of for a great four... More

This place - must see if you are traveling across Provence!! As soon as there your first stop should be Balcon de la Mescla. Stop here, admire Gorges, here you can visit small cafe with souvenirs and restroom. After that you won't see any cafes. Go further and you will see the highest, biggest and longest aqueduct in entire Europe.... More

On our holiday to Provence we decided to take a day trip to the Gorge Du Verdon. The day was exceptional and highly recommended. We booked in advance, which is advisable, and took three kayaks down the gorge from Quinson to the Esparron lake. It was a long journey but well worth it as the scenery was amazing. Stopped at... If you are visiting the south of France, you must definitely go to this place. The color of the water is amazing. We took a paddle boat through the gorge and then swam in the lake. No wonder it's called the Grand Canyon of France.

The Gorges du Verdon are the number 1 tourist attraction in Provence. If you go there, you will definitely understand why. Often called the “Grand Canyon of France“, the Verdon Gorges are not to be missed if you are in the area. As we were with the little one, we avoided the canoes & pedalos and opted to hire an...
