We visited mainly to go water rafting and this was an amazing experience. There are also other options for water sports, hiking etc.. It's a beautiful natural setting that keeps you in awe.

Originally we wanted to do Rafting but the water was too low so we decided to float through the Canyon instead with an experienced tour guide. After a short introduction we jumped into the 12° centigrade water to start the run. Well, thanks to the Equipment you will get warmer after some time - espacially the jumps into the water... More

Begin your tour at castellane ride on D952 all the way to Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. Stop for view where it is possible.Include Rougon in your stops. If you have time include D23 after Rougon in your ride. Go down towed the river if you can and where you can. From Moustiers-Sainte-Marie go back to Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon and then throught Aiguines take D71 all... More

We took a detour on our way from Antibes to Cassis to visit the Gorges du Verdon. We drove the south edge of the Gorges in under 2 hours, having short stops at Balcons de la Mescla, Pont de l'Artuby, Cirque de Vaumalle and Chapelle Saint-Pierre (the latter giving great views of Chateau Aiguines, so we didn't stop at the... We went for the day on recommendation of others and it was amazing, so peacefull and just out of this world. We rented a pedalo for a hour to see the gorges however these were slightly more expensive than on a beach but understandable. You can also rent kyaks and motor boats to see the gorges. Great day out!!!!

I fell in love with this place. Our tour guide (Verdon Transport Services) was the best. They personalized the tour the way we wanted it. We visited Riez, Lake of Sainte-Croix (fav), grand canyon, lavender field (Valensole) and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie.

So glad we decided to trek up here! Beautiful- unique geology with unbelievably colored waters, free roaming goats, majestic views and nail biting roads. Great trails, people enjoying the area hiking or bouldering or rafting or whatever- you name it they are doing it! Did not feel crowded however. The roads are not for the fait at heart. You can... We stayed at a campsite and went out every day by car to explore the region. It's absolutely beautiful if a little scary at times! I would suggest doing some research prior to your trip so you can get the most out of it. There are lakes for sailing, canoeing, swimming, paddling ....all water sports! There are mountain roads winding... More
