By itself Khirsu Village is of no importance for an tourist as it does not present either its sounds or sights that can differentiate it from any usual Garhwal Village. What is interesting here is only a small piece of nature and that too surprisingly untouched with the speed of development which has fallen over Pauri. So what do you... More

If you are in Pauri, you can visit this place for a few hours. There is not much to do here. However, if you are lucky and there are no clouds , you may spot snow covered Himalayan peaks.

Khirsu is a place where you can really find peace. Its surrounded by mountains from three sides with forests. If your luck is with you, Guldar (Leopard) and other can be seen at that point. When i was there I heard him roaring.

This is a very small and quiet hill station with good views of Himalayan peaks. There is a nature park which is quite well maintained and has swings and other play equipment, besides nice footpaths. There is a small temple which was being renovated. The GMVN Tourist Rest House where we stayed, offers the best location. Sipping evening tea in... More

Nice quiet village with great views of Himalayan ranges. GMVN is the best place to stay here. It's also a good place to have halt between long journeys of Garhwal

The issue is that the Himalayas view, which is the biggest attraction of this place, is not available majority of the year due to unclear weather. Barring which, there is hardly anything to do at this place.

Disclaimer: I could be a bit biased as I am a native of Garhwal and my village is hardly 10km from Khirsu. If you are the kind that enjoys secluded environs then this place maybe for you. There aren't many things to do here, except the park which offers good view of the upper Himalayan ranges and for those who... More

Khirsu, a small village nestled high in the Himalayas is very close to Pauri, and offers beautiful views of the Himalayas . Pauri although extremely beautiful is more of a town, but Khirsu is a small village some 30 Kms off Pauri and if you want to spend your time in Nature, and in a village type settlement it is... If you're a nature lover and like off bit sites then khirsu is a place for you. Chilled climate surrounded by green trees. In the morning you will get the view of Kedar & Badri range at a time. Road repair works is completely done from pouri. People of khirsu is very friendly.
