I did a temple stay at Beopjusa temple two years ago and really enjoyed it – I was the only person doing the temple stay and the Monks and the volunteers were all incredibly friendly and accommodating, but then when I decided to do another...More

Luggage storage and transport in Gongju (1 Replies)
we are looking to take a train from Seoul down to Mokpo with a day stop in Gongju and a overnight stay in Jeonju. Looks like Gongju has lots to see and do for a day. Then I realized two things: 1- we will have our luggage with us. 2- some sights, particularly Magoksa Temple and Gongsanseong are quite spread out. Are there any solutions for baggage storage at the train station and what is the best way to get around Gongju? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, there is no luggage storage in Gongju station. I haven't seen any. There is a bus that takes you from Gongsansung to Magoksa. It takes 1.5 hr by bus but only 30 mins by car. I would try finding a travel buddy and rent a car for a day. If you decide to rent a car I strongly suggest you also visit Buyeo.
