Taina did a great job. She picked us up at our hotel and showed us the places the show was filmed. We went into the "police station" and saw both of the restaurants used for Catherine's bar. Taina made up a binder of screen shots from many episodes and took us to see the locations. The "house" the main character lives in is assembled each Spring and taken down when filming is complete. Our tour was in March so we went to its location on the beach. The tour also included lunch and a visit to the Botanical Gardens. A full and enjoyable day.…

Not a big fan of the show but I missed out on a more general tour of the island. I thought why not and at least see some parts of the island. Taina, tour operator/guide was very knowledgeable. This being a small group I was able to ask more general questions about the island’s history …

We came to Guadeloupe because it looked great of the show, and because the reviews of this tour were so good. We were pleased with the day. Taina, the owner/operator of Guadeloupe-Explor tours was wonderful. She was knowledgeable and interesting not only about show but also about Guadeloupe and it’s history and culture. She was very friendly, helpful, and considerate, and spoke like a friend and not like a tour guide. She was attentive to the mobility needs of all 6 of us on the tour and very patient. We enjoyed the tour so much that we booked a second day tour with her and were shown many of the historical, cultural and geographic highlights of the island. The place we went to for lunch on both days had terrific, local (creole) food. We recommend her most highly. By the way, others have commented that the tour of the police station was extra, 5 euro, and not worth it. This is not under Taïna’s control and you don’t have to go into the station. Although the price has now gone up to 10 €, they have really improved the look of the station and the ticket gets you into a second place where they have the car, the motorcycle, and other memorabilia. We felt it was worth it. And the beach where the shack is during filming was neat too. Taïna has pictures of how they rebuild it every year.…

I'd rate this tour 5 stars for the sites visited as I really feel like I got the full Death in Paradise experience. If you're a cruiser, the guide will work with the ship's schedule to accommodate your needs, which was really appreciated. The only 2 reasons I rated it 4 stars are... 1) because the yummy juices were served in reusable cups without a warning that we'd need to remember which was ours at the end of the day, and they were stacked together all day, resulting in germs easily being spread. The professional way to serve would be individual bottles. 2) Not much island or show information was shared in the car in the beginning, when we were eager to learn. I felt like I had to ask questions to get info. The guide was happy to answer any and all questions, though, and had a wealth of info., including insider tidbits about the show's filming. Other than those 2 issues, which the guide can easily remedy, it was a fantastic day, and I'd highly recommend this tour. Be prepared with Euros or credit card to pay extra to tour the show's police station; this is not included in the tour price. The included lunch could be at one of a few places, so I can only speak to our experience. We ate at the Botanical Gardens. We were offered a limited menu but were satisfied with the choices. The fritters were fishy and cold. The curry was good. The ice cream was quite good. If you're a show enthusiast, this is the tour for you!…

Taina Tharsis took us on a whole day tour of the sites featured in Death in Paradise. We had a 3 course lunch in a local restaurant on the beach which was included in the price. This tour was the highlight of our holiday and would strongly recommend it. Thank you Taina for giving us so many wonderful memories.…
