When visited Tasikmalaya with my Children, We always take one day lunch by the Situ Gede .. while waiting the food ready we take a round trip with a small boat around the Situ Gede Lake and when we're get back the food is well served .. Our fave menu is Grilled Gurame and the Young Coconut .. Cheap Price, Good Food, beautiful serenity.. They also served Grilled/Fried Chicken, Tahu and Tempe...

Situ gede literally means big lake. It is 15-30 mins from Tasikmalaya. The lake serves as water supply for irigation nearby. There were street food vendors around the lake. Most of it were selling traditional sundanese food, such as grilled chicken/fish with rice and lalapan (fresh vegetables). There were also small boats available for rent, if you want to go around the lake. The lake is managed by local people around the lake so dont expect too much.

Great place for sport, jogging, refreshing, picnic and all the things to do in here. The water is clear and you will see Galunggungs mount. It's perfect scene. Enjoy your vacantion in here.

Good atmospere in this place, not expencive, big beautiful lake with clear water. Good time to visit after 14:00 to 18:00.

this lake is quite pretty, but visitors often throw garbage wherever they want, and this gives bad impact to the surrounding. some food vendors don't know how to clean up the mess from the things produce, too bad! I suggest for visitors not to come on Sunday since it can be very crowded by the joggers.

Since Tasik has so crowded traffic, Situgede always become our choice for relaxing and sometimes having lunch. There are various delicious Sundanese foods such as nasi TO, timbel, liwet, baked fish, angeun tutut, pencok leunca, etc. The view of the lake is beautiful. But, I don't suggest you to come here when the lake is dry. The landscape is boring and dirty.

Good atmosphere good vibe. I was been there where I solo travel in the nice sunny day. It's no hard to get there, the road is very fine. Very joy place. :)

Theres a lot of sundanese food to try while u explore the lake or the jogging track around the lake. You also can ride an bicycle around the lake

Hello from "Situ Gede" (Big Lake), This Lake location in Tasikmalaya not too far from the city center Tasikmalaya, here you can enjoy the atmosphere of the lake "situ gede", when I visited this lake, I had lunch here with very tasty grilled fish, I really enjoyed the atmosphere at lunch on the outskirts of the lake, you can see there are many small boats, you can ride to the small boat around the lake, its really amazing experience in Tasikmalaya.

A sizable lake at the outskirts of Tasikmalaya. Full of native plantations and nice people. Also, there are a small boat to rent
