Very nice old building, with a small but very nice decorated restaurant and also some rooms to stay some days-..
Situated in a very quite place, near the beach.

In May I stayed at this magic place for 3 weeks. The hotel is located just above the dunes and its hosts, José, Gloria and Salvador tried their very best to make this holiday an unforgettable one. Otra vez muchas gracias para todos!

Went there for dinner with a friend last Saturday and it was an amazing experience!
The restaurant is cozy, stylish and unique. It was a refined live concert of piano, creating a beautiful atmosphere with the wood heater.
His owners, Gloria and José are the perfect hosts.
I asked for a spinach omelette with salad an the plate was delicious.
I highly recommend Fortin de Santa Rosa for a romantic dinner or a special night!

It has a lovely setting both to stay there and restaurant. very quiet, in wooded area, and long stairs to the beach.

If you love the beach, historic buildings, casual barefoot ambiance and a little
shabby shiek, this may be the place for you!.

When we arrived, we wrung the huge wrought iron bell and quickly Jose, the owner and property manager greeted us like we had known him for years. What a nice start!

Jose, gave us some history on the property and then brought us a cold drink and showed us our room. The room was quite large facing the sea with a balcony.
It had a great bed, ample storage and a refrigerator.

We decided to eat in and Jose provided us some options for the entree.
We had dinner on one of many cover terraces and the food was excellent.
Just as we started eating, it began to rain very hard so we were glad we had not chosen one of the tables in the courtyard.

The inn sits nearly on the beach and has a paved access walk down to the beach.
The beach and the adjoining dunes were beautiufl and fairly deserted.

The breakfast buffet the following morning was excellent. A great variety of
sweet rolls, cheeses, fruit, toast and jams, juices and great coffee.

When we departed later the next day, Jose presented us with a CD of his music.
We were not aware that he wore multiple hats!

Overall, a very peaceful and relaxing property with great management.
We will definitely return for another wonderful dinner and some beach time.
