The ornate exterior of this amazing church, give you a taste of what to expect inside, which is truely stunning. a must visit especially as it is free. Easilt walkable from the town centre in a lovely tree lined route.

Easy to find with a map of Crema, walking distance from town. Beautiful basilica in a beautiful city.

Usually I think that once you've seen one church, you've seen them all, but the ceiling inside this church was really beautifully painted. Difficult to get good photos of the ceiling because of the lights and windows, but definitely worth visiting if you're in Crema.

We were staying in quiet Crema for three weeks. The Basilica Santa Maria della Croce is a beautiful church, worth going, worth photographing.

An unusual place of worship as they often are, in Italy .. out of another age and trying, in their day, to be different. This one had a lot of money spent on being distinctive. A pleasant experience.

Only observed, externally. Unfortunately did not have time to go in. Well worth a look! beautiful! If you have a local guide or resident they will tell you the story of how the Architect created this design.

This small sanctuary is peculiar for its greek cross layout, has been designed by the architect Battagio, Bramante's pupil. It features a very innovative design for the period.

During the visit it is possible to insert a coin in a very vintage phone and hear the legends of the miracles which happened at the site where the sanctuary was built.
