For the get go you can tell this is more than a business to the owners, the alpacas are loved and cared for to exceptional standards. We had taken our three children (aged 8, 9& 11) for a family day out. Immediately, the owners introduced the alpacas, answered questions and showed the kids how to approach and pet the animals. The process of pairing up the guests and alpacas was slick, the briefing on safety and how to handle the animals was child friendly and quick and it was lovely to hear about the personalities/parentage etc at the handover.
The trek was uphill but easily managed by our tweens, the owners were on hand for advice and tips on walking the alpacas. I really liked the interesting information discussed and questions answered on the trek, it was informative and enjoyable. The scenery and picture opportunities are amazing.
After the trek it was lovely to have the extra addition of feeding, petting and the short session on the different textures/colours/uses for the fleeces - it was such a bonus and made it a real day out. Everyone in my party really enjoyed the personal stories about each animal too.
I would highly recommend this experience, easy to get to (we put the postcode into Google maps and it took us straight to the door, which was useful), lovely hosts and great value for money. We will definitely return.
On the way home we were spoilt for choice on places to stop for lunch, the scenery on route was beautiful too.

What a fantastic day out in the beautiful Borders countryside with these gentle creatures. We booked the 1 hour trek - It was so relaxing as they were so well behaved & the owners Jean & Stuart are so laid back & delighted to tell you all about their beloved alpacas. It was fantastic to meet the whole herd including a tiny baby born only the day before. What an amazing afternoon!

A fabulous afternoon in the Tweed Valley walking a friendly alpaca. This is a great area with fantastic views down the valley. The enthusiastic hosts are full of information about these gorgeous creatures who are clearly well- cared for and enjoy their walks. I was with two friends and there were also families and couples in the group. The young children thoroughly enjoyed their experience. Good for physical and mental health and well worth the trip - highly recommend.

DO Not Book with this Company if you don't want to be let down.

I am severly disappointed with this place. I can not believe how they have treated my family in this current climate.
My son who is animal daft was so looking forward to his Alpac walk tomorrow morning at 9am for his 10th birthday and they call at 7pm the night before to cancel.
They then said they shouldn't have taken the booking 3 weeks ago.
Edinburgh is in tier 3 we could safely travel and went to great lengths to make this a special time for just him and his dad.

You should be ashamed of yourself!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful day out yesterday treking with these fabulously beautiful Alpacas. A HUGE thank you to Stuart & his son for facilitating this fantastic trek & providing us with so much knowledge about Alpacas. Of course a GIGANTIC well done to the Alpacas for being so wonderful 🦙 especially Pearson who was my trek buddy - so handsome & lovely & well behaved that goes for all the handsome boys🦙🦙

We spent a fantastic afternoon with Jean and Stuart and their gorgeous alpacas yesterday. We have wanted to go alpaca trecking for ages and were not disappointed! Jean and Stuart are passionate about the welfare of their animals, they are treated as family pets and I suspect they would spend everything they have on their care. It's quite a rustic set up, not at all commercialised, which was lovely to see. It's all about the alpacas! We were booked for an hour's visit but it ended up being two and a half! After the trek, we fed the alpacas carrots and hosed them down. My alpaca Pro was such a good boy, he was partial to a snuggle and a kiss! Jean and Stuart are fantastic hosts and it's such good value for money. Don't miss this experience if you are in the area.

Spending time with these wonderful alpacas has been an experience I will not forget. They are such wonderful animals and both Stuart and Jean gave us such an insight into such a wonderful animal. You can see how much they love all of their animals. Our alpacas Pearson and Atom were fantastic and they were so good with us. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

A friend and I were staying in peebles for a few days and were recommended to check this place out. What a find.

Be aware that treks do not run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays as its the alpacas day off haha.

Date wise, treks weren't suitable for us so we just went for a visit and it was amazing. So informative and got to feed all the alpacas some carrots and found out some great facts.

Be careful as they will occasionally spit. I got some nice chewed up carrots straight to the jumper!

Highly worthy visiting if you're in the area!

What a brilliant afternoon! The alpaca trekking is well-organised, good fun and informative. We learnt lots about these friendly animals whilst gently trekking for a couple of miles through woodland. Then we had the opportunity to feed them and visit the mums and babies. Exceptionally good value for money too. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience...this was a surprise treat for my sister's birthday...and she( and me) loved it. We learnt so much about these beautiful animals whilst trekking through the woodlands with stunning views. Definitely worth a visit and we'd happily return and do it all again...
