About
Innerleithen, situated just a few miles south east of Glentress is the preserve of the more experienced rider. Deemed as providing awesome downhill and freeride trails, as well as a cracking red-graded XC route.

A great place to ride
Oct 2018 • Couples
We went on a weekday to have a quiet ride and I’m really pleased we did.

The red run was awesome, fun, winding and challenging uphill climbs with great views at the top.

If you are looking for some challenging trails and something a little quieter then Glentress (especially on week days) then it’s a fun day out.

Local riders and Arenalin owners made our day
Sep 2018 • Friends
adrenalinuplift were brilliant and the locals made our day and gave us a personal guide....

We were here in December and it was superb but we decided to book the uplift and it was just amazing. The guys running the uplift helped advised repaired bikes and were above and beyond a business they were more like mates, the uplift was quiet and 4 in our group got going with only 1 other guy Gary B and he gave us some directions but we got lost and by the time we got down he was on his 2nd decent and on the way back up he said I will stay with you and show you the trails... I mean a personal guide all night......Top guy. we would have got into trouble without him as although we are not the best we are comfortable on black runs doing Hellvelyn, Garburn pass, etc but the downhill routes on Inners are another level and the off piste again for those doing enduro comp. So anyway the next run 2 more locals joined us and again what a great bunch they were fast and furious for real without being up their ar@e being seriously helpful and between the 3 locals they saw our skill level and laughed!!!! no seriously the pointed us in the right direction and took us down the trails and waited for us etc.... they were the making of the evening and from what I can gather the locals are all top riders and people... A BIG THANK YOU FROM THE BURNLEY CREW GUYS. We are booking again and cant wait to see you all again.
The guys at Adrenelin uplift said they can set up anything a guide a tutor and in truth its the best idea as we were b lown away with the routes and local knowledge a genuine bonus. Take advantage of their advice 10/10 all round...Awesome

Uplift

Visited here for my second uplift with adrenaline uplift. Great trails with some really good steep technical trails and off piste stuff. The uplift is also very well run and can’t recommend it enough.

Minus 8 thick ice = massive fun
Dec 2017 • Friends
6 of us set off in search of some fun and it did not dissappoint. It was so cold but the climbs keep you warm and the down hills were fast flowing and fun. Plenty of off piste fun . Se will return to do the uplift day as it was great. Caddon bank ooooh man so so good and fast as hell.We followed the red route and it was 1.45hr but we would have spent 3hrs if it was not so cold.

Quite a difficult trail with some nice views.

Tough climb but well worth it for the views. Don't underestimate the difficulty as it is a long climb to the top. If you are feeling fit then the whole of the Minchmoor is worth attempting.

Excellent variety of trails - Although not for beginners
Aug 2016 • Solo
Innerleithen is just along the road from the Glentress Trail centre and provides a different type of riding and is accessible via the Sustrans multi use path from both Peebles and Glentress.

Leaving the car park which by the way has zero facilities, it is just a car park, you are straight into a tough climb which will have you warmed up in no time but it is worth it. You can either head up to the top of Minch Moor and then enjoy the fast and flowy red XC route or mix and match other trails including loads of hand cut off-piste goodness.

If you speak to Steve in i-cycles (top of Traquair road), the staff at No1 Cafe or any of the guys in Alpine they will point you in the direction of these trails. There are loads and it is easy to link them up into a nice little loop.

Or you can try your hand at the nutty downhill trails this 7 Stanes is famous for. All in all there is something for everyone here although these are not beginners trails both in terms of the climbs and the descents.

Well worth a visit. And if your legs aren’t completely dead, head along to the Golfie for some even steeper stuff. Again, ask in any of the above shops and they will point you in the right direction.
