We visited here in June 2016. We walked through the town and found a track that went alongside a small stream and into the cemetery beside the Cathedral. The Round Tower on one corner of the building was interesting but if you have been to plenty of other cathedrals (which we have) this one did seem a bit dark and... More

Situated on the slope of Brechin, this magnificent old cathedral makes the small town a CITY!! It is surrounded by a small cemetery containing many old headstones. It has apparently been a christian place of worship for at least 1500 years. The Cathedral it selves is attractive and relatively small. It has obviously been added to over its long existence.... The cathedral is absolutely stunning from the grounds to the lovely stained glass windows. We attended a wedding there and it was a real pleasure

It is surprising how this magnificent old building seems to be 'hidden' despite it's adjoining Round Tower, and it being located only 100 yards from the town's High Street! However, look for Church Lane or Bishops Close and a few steps along either of these approach paths you will find a great Cathedral. The vaulted interior is impressive to say... More

we held our wedding here in 2010. It is such a tranquil place to be even though the town is yards from the gate, everything just seemed peaceful. The interior has been left as it should be and is perfect for photographs, id happily marry my wife again there tomorrow.

This is a beautiful historic cathedral and although I had been in previously it is always worth visiting. There are many fascinating features in the building which have clear information nearby.

It was really good to be able to get entry to this lovely old church which is a true haven of tranquillity. There is sensor lighting at appropriate points to highlight the features, and a very good description of the history and changes to the cathedral over the ages. I must have passed through Brechin so many times over the... More

This cathedral has escaped the tourist trappings than many other have yielded to. It is left in a 'just as it is' condition and that is something I enjoy.

It was quite a surprise to find that Brechin had a Cathedral. It's only small,as Cathedrals go, but very atmospheric. The Round Tower is the first of it's type that I have seen, and is most unusual.
