The house was interesting enough - but the crackling recorded tour being broadcast in each room was sometimes difficult to hear. The evenly spaced tour guides very insistently point to things and bark ‘metal door’ and other such delights…quite funny if you’re a relaxed person. They’re very insistent that you keep pace!
The model village populated by scary figures is odd…and goes on a long long time.
It was cheap to get in, but it feels more like somewhere a local school would go on a day trip than somewhere you should go out of your way to visit.

This place is a Hidden Gem tucked in South Goa - this should be made more visible and popular.

The entry fee is 100 INR per person which is pretty economical. This place is huge and you can easily take close to a hour to do the walk through. The place is quiet and offers an inside look into Goa History and about their Culture & People.

you can do the tour of the Alvares Mansion opposite this place for 100 INR which is also worth the time. The mansion takes you back in time to the Portuguese era and how life was there back then.

Amazing two places next to each other - Skip the spice tours and head here for a wholesome tourist experience.

If you want to know about Goan culture and traditions and its history, it is a must-see. And very good COVID protocols and the advantage is the entire place being outdoor. A huge Mirabai single piece stone which is claimed as India’s largest laterite sculpture is there to see. Don’t miss the world dangerous animal too 😊 Recommended and keep atleast 30 mins for this place.

Poorly curated, it is the kind of places you would be taken to from school, in a single file and be given a packet of chips and Frooti at the end. Definitely not a place for adults who are looking for a museum that takes itself seriously. Definitely not at the price you’re paying for the ticket.

A place worth going if you are that kind of traveller who likes to know history, culture and of religious beliefs.
It's phoenix of Goan history with real human looking statues depicting daily goan life in yester times, with details of tools, utensils and clothes they used in those era.
Highly Recommended Places to visit at least once if you a are in Goa

One of the best place to visit, especially children since lot of historical knowledge it consist. All the articles are atique, maintained well. Guide explained well about the place, people, trends etc. They also do contest to find some hidden item, due to this kids saw entire museum patiently, on winning of contest they were very happy and excited. Thank you Big foot, we recommend all to visit this place.

I walked in expecting nothing as the name Big Foot is quite confusing. But in quick succession through 50-60 exhibits they tell the story of a traditional Goan Village set in the mid 90s. I liked what I saw. Better then repeating beers in a shack on a beach.

Effectively a guided tour following a set of recorded messages. This meant there was little time to read signs before being moved to the next display. Yes you could go back at the end and start again, but not really efficient to do so. Could do with more graphic signs explaining the displays as a number relied on the recorded message. I'm sure young kids would enjoy, but for a sole adult I'd be disinclined to recommend.

This was called "Ancestral Goa" on our itinerary. The Big Foot Museum is a replica of a Goan Portuguese village. A good glimpse of the past, just wished that the place was larger and had some real people and real goods. A coffee stop at the "village" would have added memories to the experience.

The tour was in English broadcasted over a speaker at each point where we stood. A little confusion was evident when the crowd grew larger.

Wonderful place to experience the Goan culture and tradition. The Mirabai sculpture has its place in Guinness Book . Overall a pleasant experience. The Alvarez house is worth seeing. I guess the entry fee helps in it's upkeep. Story of Mahadar is inspiring.
