Lovely walks around this beautiful castle, apparently the highest of Europe. You can also visit the caves where they sell wine, and the castle which has furniture and family history. Cheap entrance and if you have children they can run at their leisure in the...More

We had a wonderful stay at Chateau de Brissac in April 2018. We were personally (and warmly) welcomed by the marquis, who lives with his family at the chateau. This beautiful chateau has been in his family for 500 years, and he was quite knowledgeable...More

Amazing building. Like a British Manor House on steroids. Was a bit too hot to walk the gardens which looks like the best part. Good hour or two spent nicely though

Visited this beautiful and charming Chateau in July 2018. You will not be disappointed. The tour guide was excellent and the wine tasting at the end was a perfect end to the tour. Highly recommended.

Who wouldn't want to stay in a real chateau for the price of a nice hotel room? Quite the experience. We were welcomed by the Marquis de Brissac himself with wonderful hospitality. This is not a hotel, more like a museum you can stay in...More

Lovely chateau in beautiful grounds. However luck of the draw in which guide you get. Ours talked for 10-15 minutes per room, in French naturally, which became tedious as we had a resume in English. We dropped out half way and spent time in the...More

On TripAdvisor it's open but in reality it is closed. Winter times are 2pm to 4pm. Bad information equals a wasted trip.

We visited while driving through and walked around the grounds. It was raining a bit but we still had a nice time and would recommend as a stop to anybody who enjoys seeing the chateaus in the area.
