The canyon has seen better days as the dam to the west encroachs on the canyon, blocking circular tracks, footpath, it's a mess. One point it looked like the old TV series "The Invaders" as a bus deposited men in uniforms with safety helmets that walked down the road beyond a check point. We're they going to generate or what ?. I don't think it's any joke what they are doing here, I guess that after the reactor issues dams like this were pushed through.

Our problems started by not being able to park in a car park they were all full, we went round in circles finding nothing. In the end we parked on the side of the road getting the wheels off the road in line with others. Then our problems began at the dam on the south side where was a loop track with bridge has been destroyed. Very unsafe path to get there which we had to reverse back along. Not happy with the possibility of falling down the bank. The north side tracks are in better condition. We called into the road house for refreshments on the way back.

The visit was not smooth. Paths were dangerous. Parking bad. Lot of hassle so I've rated it as average. Maybe once the dam is complete, they reopen the closed paths and make good the missing bridge which has been cut away it may be good. But essentially I think they have vandalised this canyon and it will never be the same. The autumn colours are very good but it's what I'm not showing :).

It was the autumn foliage season in early November, but the weather was unfortunate, so I gave up on my trip to see the autumn leaves along the valley. The view of the autumn leaves in the valley shrouded in light rain from the observation deck below the Yamba Dam was also beautiful. The dam was releasing water at that time, so the Agatsuma River was full of water, and the emerald green flow was beautiful.

I felt the natural breeze while riding the bicycle-type trolley on the Agattan Agatsuma Gorge Rail Bike, and I got to see the railway facilities up close, and I felt like a driver 😁

I rode along the Agatsuma Valley on the trolley, so on the way back I'll walk and look at the Agatsuma Valley 🚶

It's already past 10:00
Let's set off right away 🎵
There is an unpaved hiking trail and a flat promenade, but the hiking trail is a mountain path with ups and downs, so I decided to walk on the promenade ~

Walking along the promenade covered in lush greenery, I listened to and looked at the sounds of the valley, and took an interest in the observation decks and Agatsuma Gorge Tokachi at various points, and walked slowly 🚶
When I look into the valley, I feel like I'm going to be sucked in, which is scary ~
I wonder how high it is above the river ~❓️
Just now I was also able to see the Tarusawa Tunnel that I passed through on the bicycle trolley.
This promenade I'm walking on used to be a road that cars used to go on.
This road was replaced when the Yamba Dam was built.
From the Agatsumakyo Bridge, I crossed to the opposite bank (south side). It was pretty hot, but I think I walked about 3km in total.
It was already past 11:20.
I arrived at the Agatsumakyo Roadside Station.
If it was during the season of fresh greenery or autumn leaves, I'd be able to enjoy the best view.
I want to visit again.
I'll be sure to walk the hiking trail when I do.
Next time, I went to Udon Senka Mugi no Kaori.
