ヤマトタケルが東征の折り、東小尾で湯治し当社前を通り猛獣、毒蛇、叛賊を退治して東征に向かったといういわれが残っている小さな社です。訪れる人もなく木々に囲まれてひっそりした境内は心を落ち着けることができる場所でした。

あまり観光客が寄るような大きな神社ではないのでひっそり佇んでいます。
みずがき湖から信州峠に向かう途中の左側にあります。
入口がカーブになっているので注意しましょう。
