Hatenohama should be on everyone's wish list of places that are a must see. Our trip out took 30 mins in a small boat (20 people max). It was organised by our hotel Eef Beach. We booked loungers and parasols. There is no natural shade from the sun. The only negative is that we were only allowed to swim whilst... More

Just a pleasant boat ride away is a sandbar with nothing but beach. Go to the toilet before hand and bring water. Hatenohama is a unique experience just to be there. It is really not that expensive to go there and the boat captain gave us a little glass bottom boat tour along the way. Great for those who are... More

For fishing watching and snorkeling is very good and interesting. More fishes near the ship parking place. Don't go to place far from the ship parking place because of little fishes at that place.

Absolutely stunning beach. Looks like you were dropped into a travel magazine, until you realize that you were dropped on a beach with nothing on it. The lifeguards limit where you can snorkel and walk to and there is no shelter from the conditions - be it sun, wind or rain. The shells were some of the prettiest that I... More

Paradise Beach and white sand with the possibility to see marvellous colors. Kumejima Hatenohama is unique in its kind. It offers a dream perspective on the sea. Walking around and appreciating its Beauty is a must do while in Kumejima. Happy Sharing-Happy Inside

Took the tour from the hotel. Bus picked us up from hotel on time and easy drive to pier. Glass bottom boat ride was also fun. Once we arrived at Hate no Hama the guide spoke in Japanese to explain a few things; we basically had to guess what was said. Around an hour to walk around the beach(es). Hardly... More

We spent a whole day on this tiny sand spit. It seemed the only way to get there is through an organised tour (which the hotels offer), and it was a great experience to sit on this little island and be able to snorkel with the fish. Budget for hiring an ageing parasol and two chairs (a bit pricey at... More
