公民館の一角くらいの場所かと思っていたのですが以外に広くしかも窯元ごとに分かれて一揃いの食器が配置されています。ここで買ってもいいですが窯元の特徴を知って窯元の直販所に行くのもよいと思います。
波佐見焼は「おうち器」というキャッチフレーズ？がついています。その意味がわかります。有田焼のアリタセラにも行ったので比較していうのですが、ここで販売している器は1000円前後のものが多く、見ていてカレーをいれようかな、とか煮物いいかなと思い浮かぶものがたくさんあります。日々使いしたい食器です。

陶芸の館は、やきもの町である波佐見町のやきもの公園の一角にあります。波佐見は、400年の歴史がある波佐見焼の街です。
この陶芸の館には、その伝統や匠たちの技を生かした商品が数多く並んでいました。その中から、私は、ビアグラスを購入。やきものでありながら二重構造になっていて、冷たいビールは冷たいままの温度を保ってくれて、クリーミーなきめ細かい泡を作ってくれるんです。

波佐見やきもの公園内、駐車場から道をはさんだ向かいにある施設です。
１回は「くらわん館」というお店で、多くの窯元のやきもや、地元の物産を扱う観光物産館です。ほんとにたくさんの焼き物があります。窯元の名前も書かれていて、気に入った作品があれば、お店の人に聞けば場所を教えていただけます。その後に窯元巡りをするのに最適です。
２階は波佐見焼の歴史とその展示物がそろっています。
ここで波佐見焼の多くを知ることができました。

自宅で使う波佐見焼を購入するため訪れました。
内部はかなりの量の波佐見焼が、所狭しと並べられて、300円程度のものから、作家の作品まで、波佐見焼を楽しみながら、好みの焼き物を購入することができます。

やきもの公園の一角にあります。
1階には、たくさんの陶磁器が販売されています。絵付けやろくろの体験ができるコーナーもあります。
2階には、波佐見焼の歴史の紹介や焼き方の工程などが展示紹介されています。
いくつかの窯と中尾山交流館に行きましたが、ここが一番そろっているようです。

２階が波佐見焼の歴史や製法の展示、そして１階が波佐見焼の販売店になっていて、たくさんの皿、茶碗、小皿などが並びます。もともと波佐見焼は、庶民向けの磁器を焼いていたこともあり、ここのものは、最近の技術で焼かれた汎用品が多く、お値段も大変手頃です。外の丘は、焼き物公園になっていて、登り窯なども見ることができます。

陶芸の館の観光交流センターでは、波佐見の陶器が販売されていました。有名な陶器が安く購入できるということで、平日でもたくさんのお客が来店していました。私はあまり興味がなかったので、陶芸の館の目の前にある「やきもの公園」で暇つぶししていました。公園内には世界各国の珍しい１２基ほどの窯が屋外に展示されており、窯の歴史や文化を知ることができます。見学は無料で自由に見て回ることができました。

色々な種類の陶器があって、セールもしていたので思いがけず沢山購入してしまいました。昔使っていた窯も野外にあり勉強になります。
素敵な波佐見焼に出会え、おかげで食事がより一層美味しく感じられています。また近くに行った際には行きたいです！

厳密には、館に隣接する焼き物の販売エリアに立ち寄りました。
モダンな若者層向けから、伝統の和柄まで、またお値段も幅広く、
品揃えも大変豊富でした。お土産にお茶碗と一輪挿しを購入しました。
