We booked our One-Day rafting tour months in advance, including a stay in one of their guesthouses. The rafting tour was brilliant. Jesper, our danish guide was fun to be around with as well as reassuringly capable. The river and surroundings are gorgeous. This is a refreshing thing to do during the hot japanese summer. There are sufficent occasions to... More

My friend and I booked a half-day rafting tour after spotting Happy Raft in the Japan Lonely Planet guide and checking some pictures on their website. We were looking forward to it from the start of our trip around Shikoku, but were completely blown away by the experience on the day! The staff are absolutely incredible, ensuring that from the... We have done adventure activities all over the world from China to Sloevnia and nowhere have we seen such a professional and impressive operation as this. Yes, of course the location is stunningly beautiful. Yes, of course the activities are incredibly exciting, challenging and fun. But what is even more impressive is the way in which each customer is treated... More

It was my first time ever rafting, but this place was awesome. They have an awesome mix of English speaking and Japanese staff, so don't worry if you don't know Japanese. The area is beautiful! You cannot beat the atmosphere of the mountains and river. Our guide was amazing. He knew a lot of good information about the river and... More

Mark is a really fun guide and made the day special. The river was a bit low, so was pretty sedate aside from a few big rapids, but the fun was full on.

Friendly guides who looked after me, as I was the only one who couldn't speak Japanese. Went on a warm day in late September. The water was cool, clean and refreshing. Rapids were fun but nothing too extreme and plenty of tranquil sections. Go with a small group of friends. Beautiful mountain gorge. Kazura Bashi (vine bridge and waterfall) is... More

This is the first time for me to challenge the rafting, but I really enjoy rafting with the great guides and friendly other guests. Especially Otaki surfin trial is one of the best activity, so exciting! If you need, the staff provide reasonable and cozy guesthouse, you can also enjoy after rafting.

Mark as Teru are champs and really make rafting a fun experience. It is worth the money. Stop reading and book now. Everything is included just turn up and they look after you. I reckon everyone from beginners to experienced river rats would have fun. We stayed two nights in the guesthouse which has an amazing view and is very... More

My wife, 1.5 year old daughter and myself stayed 3 nights at the Happyraft Guesthouse and enjoyed a number of great runs on the river in a kayak with the super friendly crew at Happyraft. Being experienced kayakers we loved the clear water of the Yosiho river with some excellent rapids. The mostly english speaking crew gave us a safe... More
