石鎚本教の琴平教会

　表参道とは少し外れていますが、松尾寺境内から鳥居が見えたので訪問してみました。特徴的なのは、木製の鳥居で奥の上がった所に社殿風建物がありました。石鎚本教の琴平教会の位置付けのようでした。

石鎚信仰

　中・四国地方の最高峰である石鎚山を御神体とする石鎚神社本社（愛媛県西条市）を勧請した社であり、石鎚山を信仰する石鎚本教の教会でもあるようだ。金丸座から琴平公園に回り、琴平町公会堂へ向かう途中に見かけた神社だ。

参道からすこしはずれて。

こんぴらさんの参道には、本宮以外にもさまざまな神社がありますが、ここは参道から少しはずれたところにあるので、人もまばら（というか、行ったときは自分たちだけだった）です。ちょっと地味かな…というのが正直な印象です。

こんぴらさんにあります金丸座で、こんぴら歌舞伎大芝居の観覧の後、となりにあります松尾寺と一緒に、お参りにいきました。金丸座の賑やかな喧騒からは、全く違った静かな雰囲気です。鳥居さんは、神社らしい雰囲気を醸し出していますが、かなり、小さな神社です。

参道からはそれている関係か、ちょっとさびしい感じの神社で、参拝者は我々のほかには誰もいませんでした。

金刀比羅宮にお参りした後、松尾寺へ寄り、その後こちら石鎚神社へたどり着きました。傾斜地にひっそりと佇む神社でした。
