もう少し整備されていると良い

道の駅かもがわ円城を起点にして円城ふるさと村をウォーキングしてきました。
インターネット上でかなり古い道案内図を入手して、それを見ながら歩きました。
できれば、現状を元にウォーキングコースを決めて、それを印刷物にして道の駅で配布すると良いと思います。
今回は古い地図で目的地を探すのに苦労しましたが、それが逆に楽しくはありましたが。

高原都市の原型

　高原地帯に寺院を中心とする一大集落が形成され、廃れつつあるも、現存し続けているコミュニティーだ。＜ふもと＞から高原へアクセスする何本かの道路があるが、一歩踏み入れると（自動車だが）一種独特な雰囲気がコミュニティーに漂っているような気がする。中心は円城寺。この日は小学校でイベントがあったほか、お寺さんでも何らかの催しが予定されていたらしく人々がせわしく行き交っていた。お寺エリア、教育エリア、住居エリア、そして人々が生活のために買い物をする商業エリアと分かれているようだが、これは、まさしく、吉備高原都市の原型だ。＜ふもと＞に下りると、ふと振り返ってみたくなるような不思議なコミュニティーだ。
