全日空の2代目社長であり、航空業界発展と、日本と中国との友好に尽力された岡崎嘉平太さんの遺品などの展示をされております。復元された書斎のコーナーは、何か感じます。「きびプラザ」の中にあるのですが、これも建築として一見の価値があります。

建築家 黒川紀章設計の『きびプラザ』の外観に惹かれました。軽い気持ちで寄ってみたのですが、日中国交にご尽力され、経済界に大きな足跡を残された岡崎嘉平太さんの功績に魅入ってしまいました。是非、一度立ち寄ることをお勧めします。

全日空の航空会社コードはＮＨで、これが「日本ヘリコプター輸送」に由来する文字であることはよく知られている。その会社設立にかかわり、後進の全日空社長を務めたのが、岡崎嘉平太だ。展示は多岐にわたるが、良質な経済本を読んでいるような感慨を覚える。戦後を支えた高度成長期の経済人が人格的にも豊かだったことを連想させる古き良き記念館だろう。

きびぷらざ1F部分の一角が記念館コーナーとなっていました。飲食店の直ぐ横に正面入口がありましたが、建物内からも出入り出来るようになっていました。日中交流に尽力された旨が紹介されていましたが、全日空の前身の会社設立に携わった事も記されていました。
