大山寺バス停近くの大きな駐車場の上、大山寺への参道の入口左側にある2階建ての小さな自然史博物館で、４つのゾーンに分かれています。大山の誕生にかかわる映像や写真、資料、動植物の標本があり、大山の自然を分かりやすく説明しています。入場無料です。是非見学に訪れてみてください。

大山情報館の道路を挟んだ向かいにあります。少し時間があったので見学しました。映像やパンフレットなど、大山の成り立ちや歴史を知る事ができます。ジオラマの模型があり、地形や登山道が俯瞰で見ることができ分かりやすかったです。無料で見学できるので、合間に立ち寄るには丁度いい場所です。

大山寺参道のすぐ脇、観光案内所の道を挟んで向かいにあります。入って右側は大山の草花・実など、大山登山に役立つ情報が、入って左には小さな博物館のような展示がされています。

大山に自然や歴史について学べる場所です。大山ブナの森がなぜこのように残っているのか、日本有数の美味しい水の秘密、山岳信仰など、大山の自然と歴史を理解すると更に魅力が深まります。

登山するほどの時間がなかったので自然観察会に参加した。指導員さんが大山の地形や地名、歴史、植物などについて色々と教えてくれ、楽しかった。機会があればまたぜひ参加したい。

參拜完大山寺和大神山神社奧宮後，應該還有足夠的時間去參觀一下大山自然歷史館。
入口處的幾個巨大的樹木年輪非常吸引人，在細細觀察奇妙的年輪時，你不禁感嘆時間的飛逝和自身的渺小。展覽還有大山的誕生、大山的動物植物標本等，都很值得慢慢研究。
