金門の所の河原

金門を目指していたらその手前が際の河原でした。
ここもなかなかの絶景ですので、大山寺まで来たら是非奥まで行ってみてください。
私は前回知らなくて大山寺でUターンしてました。

とても穏やかな地

亡くなった子供を供養する場所は他にもありますが、とても寂しい場所が多いです。ここは、亡くなった子供が親の為にあの世で石を積み上げ祈るという、なんとも切ない気持ちになりますが、とても穏やかな明るい雰囲気でした。それはきっと成仏しているということなのでしょう。三途の川を案内する地蔵信仰の大山ならではですね。

大山登山の前に

　モンベルショップ大山店の脇、元谷の麓側です。ここからの眺めで心を躍らせてから夏山登山道に取り付く人が多いのではないかと思います。登山の準備がない人は、ここから見る大山が一番間近に見えるかと思います。河原に降りて川遊びをするのも楽しいです。
　最寄の夏季無料駐車場にはトイレがあります。

金門の上流にある河原。特に観光名所でもなければ、怖い感じのする場所でもない。大山神社の参道からは少し離れており、河原へ降りる道は歩きにくいので注意が必要。

名前よりは明るい雰囲気の場所でした

大山下山時に6合目と5合目にある別れ道を夏山登山道と違う道を選んで下った際、
この場所にたどり着きました。
賽の河原というと陰鬱なイメージがありますが、
当日の天気が晴れだったこともあり明るい雰囲気の場所に感じました。
この場所からも晴れていれば大山がしっかり見ることが出来ます。

大山北壁の眺め

モンベルショップ大山店の右側にあります。ここからの大山の北壁の眺めは素晴らしです。賽の河原といえば暗い感じがあるのですが、こちらは景色も良ければ、川遊びもできます。

賽の河原は名前のような荒涼としたイメージはなく、それよりも近くの断崖の大岩が迫力です。かって大勢の僧兵が肝試しをしたという話がしのばれます。

紅葉シーズンは特にきれいです

南光河原の駐車場から見る大山と違ってもう少し間近に見られるのがこの場所です
河原のあちらこちらに石が積み上げられていてあの世につながるのかな？と思ったりもしましたがこちらから見る大山の北壁は美しいです
特に紅葉シーズンは真っ赤に染まった木々の間から山が見えるので、写真を撮りに来ている人も多いです
そして海側を見るとちょうど金門があります
登山をされない方でも2つの美しい景色を堪能できる場所です

大山寺や大神山神社の東側に流れる川沿いにひろがる河原です。あの世に渡る賽の河原にに似ているそうです。おどろおどろしい雰囲気はとくにないので、ご安心を！！
