The Daisen shrine and the Ogamiyama shrine share the same starting point and can be combined easily. The long path to the Ogamiyama shrine can be quite slippery as stones are wet and covered in moss. My husband and I visited this temple on our way down the hill from Daisen. I have found it as a a tranquil temple surrounded by by the quiet mountain with birds occasionally singing nearby that makes you feel you were in the temple of some fairy tales of Japan. Got to go on a tour guided by one of the caretakers for the area. I would suggest taking a look if anyone is going to be around Mt. Daisen. There's actually a trail from the top of the mountain that exits near here, so it's possible to catch this as part of the hike to the top of the... More

We drive from Yonago city to Daisen for foilage and apparently we missed the season. There still a lot of places to visit in Daisen.
