This bridge became our favourite way to cross the river from our hotel. We used it from the first day to look for the Misasa Onsen Tourist Information Center to the last day to hunt for a good eatery. Standing at the middle of the bridge, the views from both sides were very interesting. Especially the cascading waterfalls like features across the wide river which is more like a canal. An even more interesting feature is an open air free public hot spring bath below the bridge. Next to the hot pool is a cold tap water pool. There is a wooden shed with shelves separating these rock pools from a warm water foot bath rock pool. The main purpose of the shed is probably to shield the ladies using the foot bath from the nude old men using the hot and cold baths. Quite well patronised by these nude old men. Haha.

Misasabashi is located in Nakashina, a hot spring town of Misasa Onsen that continues along the Mitoku River. It is also said to be called the Three Morning Bridge. At the foot of the south side of the bridge, there was an open-air bath called Kawaraburo, which is one of the specialties of Misasa Onsen.
