This is an aquarium located in the marine station of Kyoto University. It's small, but highly educational. Professors take time to curate maybe during weekdays. Entrance fee is only 600ÂĄ, free for Kyodai students. Lots of interesting marine organisms to see.

30 mins to 1 hour would be enough. A lot of different kind of fishes. 600 yen admission fee. When I visited this Aquarium, me and my wife were the only visitors.

Our daughter was a bit bored as we wondered around. This cheered her up no end. It only cost about $15 (AUD) for the 3 of us. Only took 30-45 minutes.
