If you can go off season I really recommend this place. In summer it can get very busy, access through car can be time consuming as the roads in and out are quite narrow, one lane often.
The park is well laid out with lots of wildlife and safari tours. There are also theme park rides for kids from 3 or 4 years old. The restaurants are reasonable and the giftshops have lots to bring back home with you.
There are many shows so if you plan your visit before you arrive you can fit in a lot of activities.

The best exhibits were the pandas. They were eating non-stop or sleeping. Lots of animals to see, though I felt a little sorry for the animals caged up. One chimpanzee in his glass cage looked so fed-up with the onlookers like us, that he started behaving like a mad man.

Good zoo and fun park. I recommend bus with top roof places to explore lions, tigers etc.

We regretted visiting this as the last thing we wanted to witness animals being kept in small enclosures.
This place is crowded even on a weekday. The entrance fee is almost ¥5000 and it does not include any ride. You will have to pay for every ride.
We did not stay for long but managed to catch the marine shows by seals and dolphins.
If you are not disturbed by the lack of animal welfare, you can consider this when you do Shirahama.

The bird area was nice. They have a good safari, by train or walking.
I would say that the aquarium section is in dire shape. Sad, very sad.
OK place, but Zoorasia in Yokohama, Tama Zoo and Kakegawa Kachoen as much better places.

Bit sad in places. The polar bear particularly didn't have enough space and seemed to be going mad.
The safari train was cool.
The restaurants were imaginative with animal themed food.
By the end of the day the music that plays on a continual loop was driving us mad!

This place should be shut down. Many of these animals should not be in captivity. The most glaring example of this are the polar bears here which are in cramped conditions that are so bad that the polar bears pace back and forth all day like they have developed catatonic schizophrenia. Because the room they are in is so small they can only walk 7 steps in each direction .

The habitats for the animals at this zoo are much too small and the animals at the welcome centre have nowhere to retreat from the crowds. The elephants were confined to tiny cages and looked depressed. The two polar bears paced endlessly and roared or scratched at the bars. They seemed very upset to be separated from each other. A bald eagle sat listlessly in a small cage with no room to even spread his wings. The monkeys at the welcome centre were chained to posts much too close to the crowds that viewed them. They scratched endlessly at their fur clearly in diress. Our family left in tears. We were devastated at the poor treatment of the animals. These animals were clearly suffering and something needs to be done. Please demand that the owner of this park improves conditions immediately.

It was hard to watch the animals in such confined spaces. We left after just 30 minutes. 2 elephants were in cages about the size of a living room. The bald eagle was in a very small cage without enough room to fly. The polar bear was showing lots of stress as it was wiping its face against the glass and swiping its paw in the water repeatedly.

Visited in May, at first was great to see Pandas and some animals that seemed to be well cared for but unfortunately many others seemed quite distressed. The eagles in the tiny cages weren't a nice sight. The worst of all was the polar bear. The sound of it screaming and banging it's head on the door make the visit an unpleasant memory

Hey, are there big enough storage lockers available for all our luggages🧳? We are thinking of checking out from our hotel, spend the day at adventure park here and then head to another place at night..
Also, what are the rates for them? Many thanks!

We've been trying to get Panda Love Tour tickets for weeks now but the website keeps saying it's unavailable and there seems to be no way to contact Adventure World.
The phone is never answered, there is no email address and they don't respond to social media messages.
Can ANYONE help us make contact please?
Written October 2, 2019
Unfortunately, I don't have an answer that can help you contact you. That, in Japan is not usually easy for those who don't handle the Japanese language. Or from another country.
My advice is to address yourself. You'll have no problem buying tickets elsewhere, Shirahama and World Adventure Park are worth knowing.

Can we interact with pandas here? I mean, can we touch and play with them?
Written June 23, 2018
You don’t allow to interact with them and also can’t touch them.
You just see them from outside the fence. (^ ^)
