The nature & highlands backdrop made this visit way more beautiful than just enjoying sakura blossom in downtown. The whole village/town is basically a sight to see. Sakura here blossomed 2-3 weeks earlier than in other places. They bloomed across a long river line, with...More

There are 8000 cherry blossom trees in Kawazu. It's a bit far from Tokyo but it's valuable to visit. You will never disappoint.

The famous Kawazu zakura in Izu Peninzula blooms early February to early March. Large petals with bright pink colors of Kawazu zakura and yellow canola flowers can be seen along the 4km path of Kawazu river . .

Kawazu is home to a very unique, deep pink shade of cherry blossom, which blooms roughly 6 weeks before the normal cherry blossom season. So if you are in Japan around mid-February, here's a chance to experience cherry blossom where you won't see it anywhere...More

Cherry blossom at beautiful river with Japanese huts at both sides. There are some stores selling snacks and other food, very nice experience. There is light-up at some locations, don't miss it if you stay in Kawazu for the night

If you see Kawazu cherry blossoms, you think that Kawazu is good as it is, since it is a long-blooming cherry blossom on March 4, I think it's okay so the mountain on the way to Kawazu is cold so it will bloom a little later... More

I went March 5th and it was absolutely breathtaking. No signs of fall yet. About 20% of the flowers still haven't reached full bloom so there may be time. Good luck!
