About
An old temple with a history of 700 years "Seisokuji temple ". Another name is the temple of Kappa. "Kappa's turtle", which is said to have helped Kappa, is served as a temple. The jar, which was also taken up in "Manga Japanese old fashi", can hear a mysterious babble from inside. Other than that, the "Kappa Gallery" feels close to Kappa and the seasonal flowers, the precincts surrounded by nature provide a healing space

You don't need to be fascinated by kappas, you don't need to be collecting some of Japan's coolest goshuin. If you're in any of the hot spring resorts in the Izu pensinsula, take the morning to visit this lovely temple. Now if you are like me, who is collecting goshuins and who loves the legendary creatures know as the "water children", please do take the day out of Tokyo and come see this amazing place. Your hosts are most helpful, the lady at the goshuin booth and the incredibly kind monk, Kenjo. Kenjo-san will be most attentive and knowledgeable host, making all the difference in this peaceful, certainly magical place. Do not miss the decorated ceiling, the kappa gallery and some of the garden statues. I will come back for sure.
