A nice day spa. The warm outdoor baths have a slight chlorine smell, but the rest of the baths don't smell much chlorine. Most of the baths are shallow, so it might be a bit tough when it's cold and crowded. I don't know much about the hot springs, but it's a nice day spa where you can relax.

This time I stayed at the Kawara Hotel and used it. On the check-in day, even before check-in, I heard that you can use it for two whole days from the opening of the bathhouse in the morning until the closing of the bathhouse on the Check-out day, so I entered to taste plenty of hot springs. Ph10.1 so I went expecting it to be quite slimy hot springs, but the result was disappointing as neither the thickness nor the feeling of the water was felt at all...
The highly concentrated carbonated springs were good, and the overall impression was that they were calm and good, but did the quality change?
Deeper well water baths are fine, but the temperature is higher. I can't settle for the pool level temperature. It may not be suitable for the sauna of life.
It was my first Kawaraku no Yu, but I wonder if they will come again.

Kawara no Yu is a great place to relax after a hard day, workout or just because you are in the area. It's about a 15 minute walk from Ogawa-machi station (Saitama), and caters to groups of people who would like a great onsen experience. While there is some English to help out the non-Japanese speaker, it would be best to ask staff members if you don't understand something. I've heard this place can get really busy on weekends during the day, so if you are able to make it at night you may have more room for yourself. (Crowded baths are not as much fun, nor are they as relaxing) There is also a discounted price (around 1000-1200 yen or so??) if you arrive after a certain time on the weekend/weekday past 8pm. This is a great price considering you have access to all the different baths, your own robe and towel, and also you get complementary tea in the dining area. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area, and enjoy hot baths.

Hiking in the area during the weekend, it was a very hot and humid day when I arrived at the station. In short I needed some great refreshment and asked at the taxi stand if they know a good place to get some real Japanese relaxation. A short walk and I was at this fantastic traditional style complex with spa, restaurant and sauna. My plan was to stay only for a short time but ended up to have spent almost 3 hours at the facilities.
