山の上に続く長い石段を登った先

猿ヶ京温泉には、三国街道のおがんしょと言われるスポットがいくつか残っていて、この神明神社もその一つ。山の上に続く長い石段を登った先に古びた社殿が建っていました。
由緒書には雨宮千勝という人物が役人に負われて割腹自殺。その後疫病が流行ったのでそれを鎮めたとか、書かれていました。

散歩をしている際に、お参りしました。かなり古くからある立派な境内で、金精様や宮野天神などが祭られていて、ご利益があるスポットでした。
