Indoor pools, a steam sauna and an outdoor pool amid nice scenery and trees. I found the concreted river fall a little disappointing; I believe the men's bath has a better, more natural outlook. You need to go down metal stairs outside, this may be quite inconvenient on a cold day!
The restaurant serves grilled fish, iwashi. There are also outdoor barbecue tables.

I was visit during winter in one nice day, 3 hours drive from my place but it's worth drive.
The facility has 2 indoor wooden baths and one outdoor stone bath.
Temperature was perfect warm, so can relax longer inside the bath. Nice view and have nice light food too. Looks like they speciality is Iwana no iroriyaki (japanese style grilled Char/trout fish).

Onsen was very clean and well maintained. Mostly Japanese and not very touristy. Smaller indoor onsen was warm while other was perfectly hot. Outdoor onsen has a fantastic view but could be 2-3 degrees warmer, but its 100% natural temperature so not a big deal. Adults were ¥750, so very wallet friendly. There were a few young kids 5 to 9 years old soaking in there so families are welcomed.
