Mother nature’s timing was impeccable for our visit , which meant I skied some of the deepest powder snow I have ever experienced ( chest deep in side country and waist deep on piste) . There is also backcountry areas but they were closed due to the huge snowfalls that occurred in the 48hours prior. The cafeteria style food was also quite tasty, no lift queues and heaps of snow= great day

We visited this ski resort with our son who is currently living in the area. He is a skilled snowboarder but we are beginners. This ski resort suits both levels of ability. There are various runs depending on your ability level. You can choose to have lessons and there is a sled/ tube slope for children. We would love to go back again sometime in the future.

Medium sized ski area with lots to do. Beautiful snow when we visited.Very few foreigners and during the week it was very quiet indeed. Really enjoyed the skiing.

Its large enough to be entertained for a day if you are riding the groomed trails. When it snows, the powder is very impressive. Tons of fun. Food options are plentiful and tasty.

A small but interesting resort in the Japanese Alps which offered good variety in the runs down to the central restaurant area.
Not busy and with reliable snow even in a season which has been warmer than normal, I would recommend this resort for a winter week when combined with a few days in Tokyo.

Went with three friends and had a great time. Fresh snow made for great conditions and pretty much no lines at any of the lifts that were open. It is small and a few of the lifts still weren't open yet, but it had fun beginner to intermediate runs with fairly soft powder on the sides of the main packed runs. The "terrain park" was just a small jump, pipe and tabletop (from what I saw). I wouldn't drive hours to go again, given the other resorts in Japan, but it was an enjoyable small resort.

small but nice ski resort, excellent for beginners. They do not open the whole resort until mid-january, so it may be worth going later in the season.

Natural pipes are fun!
There are both steep and gentle slopes, making it enjoyable for both families and groups of young people.
The restaurant has been renovated and is now stylish. There is also plenty of alcohol.
