滝を見るポイントが災害復旧中、すこし残念でしたが、高さも景色も見事な滝でした。
乗用車で行くには、道幅が狭く気をつけて運転していただきたい。

荒船山や立岩のそばにあるので、登山をしたついでに寄りました。細くて一直線に落ちる滝は今まで見たことがない景観でした。らせん階段で下まで降りることができますが、この階段鉄板が錆びて腐りかけています。

ツーリング途中に寄りました。南牧村の長閑な街並みを抜け、さらに細い道を辿った先にあります。終点は荒船山や不動尊への登山口になってます。その少し手前から、土手を降りていくと、その滝はあります。本当に斜め一直線の美しい滝です。しばらく見とれていましたが、他客は来ませんでした。見る価値はあります。

この滝は珍しい。
普通、滝の水が幅広になったり、狭くなったりしながら落ちていくが、
この滝は上から下まで一本の線のまま落ちていく。
あまり知られていない滝だが、アクセスの悪い中を
わざわざ見に行く価値のある滝だと思います。

35メートルの切り立った崖を一直線に落ちる滝です
県道201号から2分で下ることができますが、滝壺まで螺旋階段になっているのが特徴
周囲も崖に囲まれていて不思議な空間でした
・線ヶ滝への降り口をちょっと通り過ぎたところに登山口の駐車場があります
（県道201号の突き当たりです）
・星尾八景のひとつということですが、他の七景が何なのかわかりませんでした
・”来る人も また来る人も 来る人も 休んで聞くや 滝の音”との句碑がありました
