Great visit to view a little of Shoji Hamada's life and reflect on his influence on ceramics.
There's an entry fee and takes about 30-45 min to walk through.

As humble as the initial history of Shoji Hamada's undertakings in Mashiko, the ground he lived in is massive. The workroom is a pleasure to look at, the gardens are well maintained, the foundation does a great job in maintaining the origin state of the living quarters. The anagama kilns were reinstated to as close as their original designs, would be helpful to have english translations besides the explanation boards.

The museum is interesting in the sense that you can take a look to different and old things that Hamada have found in different countries of the world like Mexico and Spain, so you can also get familiared with other countries a little bit.
