「浜焼き」が良い感じでした。新鮮でお勧めです。
モーターサイクルで、大洗港のフェリーに乗るまで、時間があったので寄ってみました。
「浜焼き」は、陳列されてある海鮮の食材を選んで、自分で焼いて食べるシステムです。私はホタテやイカなどを選んで、焼いて食べました。おいしかったです。
食材を焼くだけという、とてもシンプルですが、それが食材のおいしさを一番、味わえると思います。お勧めします。

大通りに面しているのでわかりやすいです。平日だったので駐車場もあいていてスムーズに入ることができましたが、休日は大変かも。市場には、いろいろな種類の魚介類が売られていますし、浜焼きをしていたりで楽しく遊んできました。

丼や定食のほか、自分で好きな食材を選んで卓上で焼くこともできます。休日に行ったので、けっこう混みあっていて、テーブルを確保できてから定食が提供されるまで約30分もかかりました。その間は、焼き物を楽しんだり、入口近くで売っている揚げ物などをつまんだりしていたのですが、子ども連れだったのでちょっと間がもたなくてひやひやしました。

2017 7月の連休に行ってきました。(海鮮市場とその周辺のお店)
昼近くの時間帯だった事もあって、結構な賑わいでした。
派手な看板、結構な人出にテンションも上がったけど、よく見ると人気店は偏ってる様子。
さらによくよく見ると人気店のメニューも、それほどでもないみたいな。
地元でしか食べれないメニューもあるので、そちらは納得の味と値段でした。
のんびりと地元海鮮料理を食べたい方は午前中の早い時間帯がいいと思います。
鮮魚は取り扱ってる店が少ないし、安くはないので、鮮魚目当てなら那珂湊の方が良いでしょう。
渋滞しないと思われる場所にあるし、移動が少なく観光するに寄るのは良いかとおもいます。

朝から開いているお食事処です。
各サイトなどでは海鮮丼推しのようですが、お店に入ると多くの人が定食を頼んでいます。大体の定食には、桶に入った刺身盛りが付いて来るからです。まずはお店の人に、その日のオススメを教えてもらってからじっくりメニューを見て選ぶのがいいかも。店頭で売っている生牡蠣や海鮮焼きも、店内で注文できます。
混んでいる時間帯に食事予定の際は、
電話で席の予約もできるそうなので、前もって計画しておくのがよさそうです。
待ち時間が長くても、港内や、時間によっては近くの明太パーク（あるいてもすぐです）を散歩して楽しめるので、なんとかなりそうです。
店員さんの感じも良いので、またぜひ行きたいです。

鮮魚を見るのが好きなので^_^ここは年に一回は訪れます。駐車場はたくさんあって無料だし良いです。丸ごと一匹の鮮魚は見て回るだけでも楽しい。お食事処もたくさんあるし、買い物も食事も楽しめます。

休日は人が集まるだけあって海鮮はかなり安いのですが、量が多いので大人数で分けるなら良いと思います。

お中元用の干物を買いに行ってきました。駐車場が店前にあってとてもアクセスしやすいです。店員さんも気さくに声をかけてくれます。周りにもお店がいくつもあるので見比べることもできます。

お隣の那珂湊漁港が有名ですが、大洗もいいですよ
食事処やお土産店は少なめですが、駐車場は港側を合わせれば、集客数はまかなえています
食事処は、観光地価格ですが、おいしい魚介類がいただけます

道路に面したところに椅子があり、簡単な食事もできるようになっていて、前に並べられた海鮮を炭火で焼いてもらえるところもありました。その横には、あんこう汁の販売もありました。
