叫びの像のインパクトが強い

道の駅おだいとうの横にある高台です。冬は白鳥が飛来する場所のようですが、叫びの像のインパクトが強いです。別海十景の１つです。

大迫力の銅像

道東の最先端、納沙布岬から国道244号線を北上し
野付半島を目指しているとちょうどいい休憩地点で別海十景のひとつ、
道の駅おだいとうに着きます。
お天気と季節・時間を選べば白鳥や「四角い太陽」が鑑賞できるポイントです。
（オオハクチョウは12月から3月にかけて、この付近にきます）

敷地内には３階建ての別海北方展望塔、北方領土に向かって叫ぶ「四島への道～叫び」
という大迫力の銅像があります。

叫びの像の印象が強い

本来は野鳥の飛来地ということがメインだろうが、やはり道の駅併設展望塔横にある叫びの像のインパクトが強い。自然景観と北方領土返せ！のモニュメントの組み合わせ…非常に複雑な心境になる。

彫刻が指さしている先には、北方領土が見えます。北方領土の知識を学ぶだけでなく、併設されたレストランで名物のホッキカツ丼を楽しむと、さらにこの地域のことを学べると思います。

駐車場、トイレあり、休憩できます。眺望あり！

ドライブ中にちょっと休憩。海が見え、その向こうに北方領土が見えます。銅像を見ると、ちょっと切なくなります。すぐ近くにルピナスが咲いている場所があります。駐車場に車置いて見に行きました。

　斜里から風連湖に行く前に、観光バスの窓から見えました。　北方領土が見えるこの地方では、どこに行っても、このようなモニュメントを見ますが、都会に住んでいる人には、あまり関心がないのかもしれません。

展望台から見える国後島に向かって返せと叫ぶ叫びの像がありました。

道の駅おだいとうの駐車場には弁当を食べたり、
景色を眺めたりするベンチがありました。
又叫びの像があり、
3階の展望塔から見える国後島に向かって、
返してくれ、と、住むところを奪われた人の叫びです。
道の駅の売店に北海道牛乳があり、買って飲みました。

ここを目指してわざわざ行くことはないかと思いますが、通りがかったのであれば、車を止めて見てみるのがいいと思います。
