資料館は頑張ってる

資料館はとても立派です
伊達藩（仙台）からの遠征は苦労がしのばれます
でも、まぁなんというか白老で守ってた期間が12年と短いので歴史を感じるかは微妙なところ

道央道白老ICからすぐで、案内板があるので迷わず行けます。陣屋と言っても造りは、城郭風でとてもキレイに整備されています。散策しても1時間くらいなので、往時を偲びながら回ってみると良いと思います。資料館は決して大きくはないですが、幕末に蝦夷地警備のためにやって来た仙台藩士のこと、アイヌ民族との関りなど、詳しい資料展示がされています。また土日祝は学芸員の方からの解説を聞きながら見学できるので、より理解が深まり、とても勉強になります。開拓や士族授産のために士族が北海道に来たこととはまた違う歴史を知る機会になりました。

ニセコ・ルスツにスキーに行ったものの、降雪がなくただのゲレンデスキーになってしまったので早々に切り上げ観光に切り替えた際によった博物館。

仙台藩が北の地防衛の任を得て、この地に来た際に張った陣地跡を公園、資料館にしている。

ロシアの南下政策など教科書で習わない日露戦争、日韓併合（←最大に迷惑）に繋がる話がここにはいろいろ解説されていて素晴らしい。

まて展示も甲冑や印籠など、なかなか素晴らしいモノが展示されており、コスパも良い。館内は真冬でもそれなりに暖かいのでゆっくり見ることができます。

白老のインターからとても近くふらっと寄れます。陣屋跡を散策しました。桜がとても綺麗で友人達と花見を楽しみました。

自分たちしかいないの寂しかった

時間があったので何気なく立ち寄りました。駐車場には車が少なく、期待していなかったのですがとても面白く自分たちだけなのが寂しい感じでした。蝦夷地を守った仙台藩の苦労と、戊辰戦争により敗走悲しみなどとても興味深く拝見させていただいた。学芸員さんが話しておられた、残さなければいけない大切なものという言葉が身に沁みました。

旅の最後にふらっと立ち寄り。

旅の最後の目的地から移動している途中に陣屋跡の看板を見たので、その案内に従って行ってみました。史跡なのでほとんど何も残っていませんが唯一木製の門の一部が残っていました。そこを通り抜けていくとしっかりと整備されており公園のような感じでした。小高い山の上には神社もあり、その当時の一角を見出すことができた感じがします。資料館は有料（300円）ですが貴重なものが多数展示されているので歴史が好きな方は訪問する価値はあるかと思います。

陣屋跡は史跡公園

江戸時代末期に南下してくるロシア勢力に対して仙台藩と奥羽諸藩が蝦夷地を警備、常時100人以上が駐屯してた陣屋と詰所があった場所です。道内の陣屋跡では最大のものだそうです。建物などなく、言われななければ地面がでこぼこした広～い公園と思ってしまいます。小高い丘の上には神社跡もありました。平日の午後、公園を散策してる人もいませんでした。資料館もありましたが月曜は休館日で見られませんでした。

仙台藩士達の苦闘の歴史

陣屋跡は安政3年（1856）蝦夷地の防備を固める為に仙台藩が築いたものである。資料館は昭和30年に築かれ関連資料が豊富。擬似日本刀を持てたり、和太鼓を叩く事が出来るたのは楽しめた。仙台藩士達の苦闘の歴史を垣間見る事が出来る。
