We went there in the summer and saw nothing. Only go there during the pink moss time, there's no other attraction in other season.

Must visit if you are flowers lovers and like nature. Long drive but worth it very much! The locals planted them and taking care of them very well. Very impressive ya! Really hope others can do the same too in other part of the world.

Value enough to drive some hundred kilo to see this pink hill. Appreciated its history and can see how local people love their own town.

visited on 24th May when Shibazakura was close to full bloom as per its website. This park is as big as the Higashimokoto Park which we went 10 yrs ago for the same @100K sqm. In comparison, this park has more pink to orange red, apart from purple flowers, while the latter had mainly white and purple ones. Besides, this... More

I visited this place en-route from Obihiro to Chitose. Since it was during autumn, there wasn’t any pink moss which it is famous for. Nevertheless, it was a refreshing stroll in the park. It was quiet and peaceful, with a few locals/ tourists. No entrance fee. There were 2 bridges. Crossed over the first one to have a good view... More

Located quite far away from other attraction, it is highly recommended to rent a car if you want to go to the park. The blooming season is from May to early June. The nearest town is Kamikawa or Monbetsu. Asahikawa is about an hour and a half drive as well. I tis not as touristy as lavender field on July... More
